Being GREEN is what Sacramento is all about. Sacramento has been named one of "The Seven 'Greenest' Cities in the World." Check out the map of Sacramento as #2!

Esther Williams - Terrible for allergies.

Gina Brelsford - Even when I was a kid I was impressed by all the trees downtown and especially around the Capitol lawns with it's many varieties of trees given as gifts by dignitaries from around the globe. You know what would be really cool though is if Sacramento and the surrounding communities would plant fruit trees in the medians, parks, and along walking paths to help feed the homeless and poor.

It's Airport Team Tuesday- meet Lawrence Pernell. Lawrence is an attendant and has worked at SMF since 1975!

1) What is your favorite thing about working at SMF? I don't know if it’s the people or the jet fuel, but I love helping seniors and little kids. I treat people exactly how I want to be treated, and they get it.
2) Describe yourself in three words: Honest, trustworthy and loyal.
3) What's your favorite destination? I just got my passport, but my favorite destination is definitely visiting family in Natchez, Mississippi.
4) What's the oddest thing you have seen at the airport? When I was working security a woman put her dog on the belt and through the x-ray machine, I looked up and saw a skeleten on the machine! It was spooky!

Thanks for being part of the SMF team Lawrence, we are happy to have you!

It's Airport Team Tuesday! Meet Deborah. Deborah has worked at SMF for 6.5 years and spends her time away from work performing in local theater, cooking and reading. She has 9 brothers and sisters so her interest in acting came about from the need to get "noticed" in a big family.
1. If you could hop on a plane right now, where would you go? New York City!
2. What's the oddest thing you've seen at the airport? The Rabbit, Leap.
3. What is your favorite thing about working at SMF? My co-workers AND the amazing privilege that at my age I am still working!
4. Describe yourself in three words: Loving, generous, and tenacious.

SMF is happy to have you Deborah!
