We love our MCO moms! Two new permanent nursing rooms are now open to help give more privacy options to our traveling mamas. The rooms offer feature comfortable chair, baby changing table, outlets and a sink. The rooms are located on Airside 1 (Gates 1-29) down the 20-29 gate hall and on Airside 2 (Gates 100-129) near gate 101. These two new additions bring our total to nine nursing/pumping options airport wide.

Orlando Police officers recently responded to a passenger near the APM who had suddenly collapsed, suffering from full cardiac arrest. Officer Dave McKinnon, assisted by Officer Jake Silverman and Sergeant Chris Becton responded with the AED and administered CPR for over 8 minutes until ARFF units arrived and transported her to the hospital. Earlier this week Officer McKinnon visited her at the hospital and brought her some small gifts with regards from OPD. We wish Ms. Betty a complete and restful recovery. Each year, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside the hospital, and about 20 percent occur in public places such as airports. Today we unveiled a new amenity at MCO that will help our travelers learn a potentially life-saving skill. We're one of only seven U.S. airports to introduce the American Heart Association Hand-Only CPR kiosk, an interactive machine that trains the technique in five minutes. Visit the kiosk on your next visit in our main atrium, "A" side. <3
