Orlando International Airport (MCO)
Thanks to an equipment change, a rare Delta 747-400 served today's flight from Detroit. With Delta's plans to retire them by the end of the year and very few still around, it's likely this is the last time we'll see this beauty.

Flying is better with family. First Officer Luke Miller has been with the team at Alaska Airlines since August 2016. On March 13, Luke had someone special join him in the cockpit - his dad, Captain Matthew Miller! AS Flight 760 arriving from San Diego was the first flight that had them scheduled to operate together. Keep flying high, you two!

Jackee Whale - I travel to your airport twice/ three times a year, the main problem you have is when you have a storm and your workers down tools. We were stuck on arrival in your airport from 5pm till 11pm. Water fountains were switched off, couldn't use phones to let people outside know what was happening. Just kept getting told to sit down on the floor and be quiet. To add insult to injury when flight were later landing they got through before us. It was utter chaos. No organisation at all. People were frazzled then had to drive to destinations. It seriously made me ill. This is the part of the airport you need to focus on. The other side is great.

Providing more options for nursing moms on the go, we've installed four new nursing suites throughout MCO. Each suite is ADA-accessible and comfortable spot to pump or nurse, with power/USB ports right inside. With these now installed, we have nursing options on all airside gate areas and in the main terminal, with more to come! We <3 our #MCOmoms.

Dagmar Rios - Bravo!!!!! MCO thanks for thinking far and beyond not only for people with disabilities but also moms!!!! As a breastfeeding mom I can't thank you enough! Yes you're right, as a traveling mom sometimes I need it to pump and dint have where to go other than bathroom. This is amazing!!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Larry Applebee - How much?
Carla Evans - I know you have those new refillable water bottle stations in the airport. It would be nice for mommas to have access to one of those near the pumping pod. I'm long past needing this but I remember when my oldest really needed a quiet space to feed comfortably.
Cheri Repass - Fantastic idea! Just hoping its always locked until mommy/baby go inside and that it locks once they are by themselves ..... hate to see them hurt .....crazy idiots out and about .... just saying ....
Melanie Smith - As a breastfeeding mother I think this is a great idea, perfect for pumping or if you need some privacy. I happily breastfeed in public but sometimes it is good to go somewhere quiet so your little one can focus and not get distracted x
1 week ago
Diane Franks - Great idea. Well done. It is always the "extras" that make a place stand out above the others. Love MCO ... shame not my local airport :)
Misty Dawn Taylor - I am personally all about feeding my baby - whenever and wherever because if he is hungry he should be fed - I don't care if my breastfeeding in public bothers you. HOWEVER I know what it's like to travel with a nursing infant by yourself and how difficult it can be to juggle everything - this is a great option for moms who aren't comfortable or just need that quiet place (as when in public sometimes the little one can be hungry but super distracted and it makes feeding super difficult!) also this allows a place for pumping moms to have the privacy and convenience and cleanliness they need to have milk for their hungry baby as well! Great job MCO. These are a great addition to the airport!
Lori Lehtio Studt - I just fear that by having these available, it will become the expectation that women breast-feed in private. I have watched my daughter breast-feed in public numerous times she has a lightweight discrete cover that she uses and there is absolutely no issue with privacy. I can see how a new, first time mom may feel a little awkward breast-feeding in public though. However, like I said, there should be no expectation that women hide themselves away in order to breast-feed.

Bubba Haney - Jennifer Thomas
Nick Reinarts - Or, y'know, we could let women breastfeed in public because it's literally just feeding their children.

Women Who Soar at MCO: In a job that's all about the numbers, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Chief Financial Officer Kathleen Sharman has found a winning formula. She's spent the last 30 years managing accounting and finance for companies in both the public and private sector, including the New Jersey Transit Corporation, one of the nation's largest providers of bus, rail and light rail transit. Now, she's proud to work for one of the largest economic engines in Central Florida.
โ€œWorking in the aviation industry is exciting and rewarding at the same time! As the former CFO for both transit and toll road agencies, coming to Orlando International Airport has allowed me to use my multimodal experience to further assist with expanding the airport, thereby expanding economic growth in Central Florida.
