Greg Donar - I have expierienced terrible service at the DD Kiosk (Gate A). The employees have no clue what they are doing. Maybe they could at least offer a smile. Never expierienced that type of service at Potbellys even when the lines were long. Lots of work to do here Midway!

Rob Majdecki - I think it is terrible that you can no longer get something for breakfast that doesn't cost $ 9.00. With McDonald's and Pot Belly gone every breakfast sandwich is $ 9.00. Way to go Chicago for screwing the passenger who utilize Midway.
Edgar auf dem Graben - A lot of Chicago favorites like Manny's Deli, Super Dawg and the like are no longer at Midway. Plus the airport is legit overcrowded. Never thought I would say this, but we need a third airport, folks!

Captain Lou Freeman piloted his last flight yesterday, from Dallas to Chicago, after 36 years with Southwest Airlines. He was the first African American Chief pilot in the United States; became the number one seniority pilot for Southwest; flew the remains of Rosa Parks to her burial site and actively volunteers with the Tuskegee Airmen. After a big send-off in Dallas today, and with his wife and family on board, Captain Freeman's arrival at Midway was greeted with a water cannon salute, a City proclamation from Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the cheers of hundreds of his co-workers and friends.

Oh, and relax Cubs fans, a new and improved Harry Caray’s will open at Midway as part of a $75 million concessions renovation and expansion.

Jonathan Majerski - Business travelers have nowhere to grab a quick meal or a good espresso drink. I have now started to eat outside of Midway and wait to reach a Starbucks at my destination.
Jonathan Majerski - I am a frequent flyer who travels most weeks of the year. I do not understand the reasoning behind the restaurant changes at Midway and am shocked and appalled by what decision makers are calling an upgrade of fine dining. By replacing Potbelly's, Red Mango, and Harry Carey's which were by far the best restaurants with overpriced dog food at the red headed step child of Chicago sports teams restaurant, a frozen yogurt place (hello 1995 when frozen yogurt was cool), and Home Run Inn pizza which is now supplying their frozen pizzas from the local grocery store in Midway. Potbelly's was the perfect breakfast spot for business travelers. They got you in and out in 8 minutes, charged $3.50 for a fresh, quality made sandwich, and were able to make premium espresso drinks (only place at Midway). You can get a pre-made reheated sandwich for $7.99 now at Home Run Inn pizza.
Yolanda McCullough Swan - Midway used to be my preferred Chicago airport. I fly every 2 weeks for work. Last weeks visit left me very disappointed. I'm seriously considering changing airline preferences to fly out of ORD. I loved midway for the convenience and food options (potbelly, red mango, and fresh salads). Now all they have is expensive unhealthy options. Sorry southwest, looks like ord is my new airport. #bringbackpotbelly #bringbackredmango

Timothy E Casey - So today Memorial Day we get to the airport early so we could try out the new Go Go White Sox Grill and watch White Sox game before our flight! You would assume the Go Go White Sox Grill would have the White Sox game on at least one TV!! Nope, probably 10 to 12 TV's total and everyone of them were showing the Yankees/Orioles game!! UFB!
Derek Edwards - Not good, all the bars are out of everything. No Tito's, tap beers out. Looks like it's a BYOB airport now. Sad times here, what idiot did this?
Gregg Siepker - I was so disappointed. What are they thinking??? Long lines at almost all food vendors and employees that are untrained. I tried to be open minded so I tried Home Run Inn Pizza. ( strangely they were the only one with a reasonable line). I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheddar sandwich. Was told they only had English Muffins. (Really??) paid $7.99 for the equivalent of an Egg McMuffin, but it wasn't as good. Had to wait for over 10 minutes. There was employees running around auctioning food off when it was finally ready. Never again. While you have a captive audience in an airport, you will soon learn that repeat business is a must in the restaurant business. What are they thinking??
Carrie Ann Trieglaff - I'm really disappointed. Potbelly was my favorite option at midway and they got customers in and out with their orders in minutes! Homerun pizza is a disaster. None of the employees know what to do, many just standing around and not helping potential customers. Its unclear where to order or how to get your food after you order. One employee told me she is not happy either. It's a madhouse of confusion. And the food is not 'upscale'...
Margaret Mauthe - So not happy with the changes. Upscale restaurants? It certainly is not kid friendly anymore--and I don't even have kids. How many pizza places do we need that overcharge for their lamp heated 6" discs? At least 3 by the upscale standards of Midway Airport. Looking at prices of the replacements of my favorite places, my question is answered--GREED! I still love Midway because of Southwest Airlines, but I don't care about the airport's corporate way of thinking. Shame on you!
Jessica Tyrakowski - Problem with closing potbelly and McDonald's is that they served such a huge amount of customers. The lines are terrible now with no fast options. Hoping for some quick changes. Customers are not happy.
Faisal Salman - I used to eat every week breakfast at Harry Carays. Great quality food and service. NOW: I will seek other breakfast options outside the airport. What an embarrassment to Chicago.

For the first time at MDW, travelers can enjoy freshly prepared sushi at Tabo Sushi, a local brand from the chef of @SlurpingTurtle. Nearly all food, beverage, and retail locations at Midway are re-branded as the airport’s concession program undergoes a three-year, $75 million makeover.

Jonathan Majerski - Can you bring back Potbelly's please? Business travelers don't want sushi from an airport not close to an ocean.

Matt Pinkerton - And lucky travelers have two different sushi places. Way to appeal to the masses and be family friendly. Not to mention the prices
2 weeks ago
Chicago Midway International Airport - We're sorry that you feel this way. We're reviewing all comments & looking for ways to improve your experience at MDW.

Kristen Fyffe - Lines are still long since the change. High prices and a lot of "we're out of this" once you make it to the front. I pass through all the time but will no longer rely on MDW for food unless there's a big change.
Kat Kuhn - As someone who travels through here all the time, I really Hate the new food options! Why would you get rid of potbelly's?!? And why so many pizza options?
Jessica Tyrakowski - Lines are horrendous at every food vendor. No options for quick service anymore. Disappointed
5 weeks ago
Amanda Heidemann - Sandwich place "the market" I think it was called, out of tomatoes, out of bags, out of wrappers for sandwiches, and has two panini presses to serve an airport crowd. Took nearly 30 min to get what turned out to be a terrible sandwich. Lots of people in the market but no one helping stock sandwiches or supplies. Seemed to be looking at each other. Oh yeah and do we really need THREE pizza places? Two of which are the same?
David Jolly - Except nobody has any supplies. Even the restrooms don't have toilet paper. This place is a dump!
Traci Luedtke Haren - Lines 30 deep for every place and the only other option is a prepackaged salad/sandwich with wilted lettuce from a refrigerator. Replacing Potbellys with another crappy pizza place, smart move morons. Epic fail Midway!!
Steve Pete - Line around the door for Gold Coast dogs, not a single person buying sushi. Who buys sushi at an airport, apparently no one. Solid market research!

Anna Dawson - Yes, but McDonald's… A place where average income families can actually get food in an affordable way is now gone because of the ridiculous requirement for over $13 an hour. This is not a change for the better in the airport.

Julie Erbe - I loved getting Intelligentsia coffee at Potbellys. Any plans to have good coffee at Midway?
Faisal Salman - Have you seen the lines this morning at Dunkin this morning. There needs to be more thought ideas. At least at Potbelly they had a system to handle the lines that worked. Very disappointed.
Amanda Heidemann - The smell of burgers frying at the place at the beginning of Concourse A was overpowering - extended all the way to the end of the moving walkway by the Midway Memorial. I eat meat and thought it was pretty gross, wonder what your non-beef-eating travelers thought? Perhaps the exhaust hood needs a checkup.
David Jolly - Except they are all out the f supplies. Been through all three concourses looking for a mocha latte. No mas!
Karin Mika - Got rid of Potbelly, my favorite place at Midway, and today, no pastries at the cafe, and neither sugar nor lids at the Dunkin XPress. ...and one employee for a line of 30. More places is a great idea, but make things better, not worse.
James William - Hooray, instead of a legit breakfast at Haray Caray I can get a faintly stale mediocre donut. Nice "upgrades."

Melissa Graham - Epic fail MDW for taking out Potbellies and changing other food venues. MDW had the best food options in the system. SMDH😖

Jane Kolb-Quinn - Dunkin is a great add but not at the expense of the most delicious efficiently fun establishment at Midway. Someone was asleep at city HQ.. bring back potbelly ...even as a sandwich / salad express would work!
