Glasgow Prestwick Airport is very grateful to have an enthusiastic spotters community. They are passionate and supportive of our operation and always show an interest in our activities and we welcome this.
Although we do allow this community to congregate on our land to take photographs and view aircraft, providing this access is not part of our business and people are permitted to enter these areas around our perimeter fence at their own risk.
We do have an ongoing maintenance plan for our land and facilities and this is based on our business needs. As such, some of the ground used by the spotters community is not regularly maintained.
We have recently reviewed this area and we have identified some areas of concern and we will be putting up signage to advise people of hazards.
It has been brought to our attention that the spotters community would like to carry out some maintenance work on our land themselves. As the landowner, we cannot permit this as there are health, safety and security considerations and any unpermitted works would be considered criminal damage. We would kindly request that if any groups or individuals would like to discuss arrangements in regards to our land that they do so through official channels by contacting email@example.com
