Barry Parsons - Generally reasonable suggestions. However, the operation in the airport could be improved too. Poor signage, low staffing levels, unnecessary lanes routing you back and forth when there is noone in front or conversely staff asking you to have your passport ready now when there is clearly a 15+ minute queue in front of you....etc are not helpful.

Bristol Airport
The temporary disruption experienced on Monday 25 December evening was due to technical problem with airfield lighting equipment. As a precaution and whilst the investigation takes place one flight inbound from Gran Canaria (TOM 6133 with 120 passengers) diverted to Birmingham. KL1057 from Amsterdam has been cancelled, passengers are advised to contact KLM for further information.

The technical problem is being investigated and no other passengers were impacted due to the technical issue.

We appreciate the frustration that passengers have experienced and thank them for their understanding.

Sarah Beirne - Is this expected to be resolved tomorrow morning? I've had two flights in the past 7 days cancelled, including my flight home for Christmas, which could only be moved to tomorrow. If you're unable to fix this, I won't get home this Christmas.

Following the earlier incident at Bristol Airport the aircraft has now been moved and the airport is now open and fully operational. We are working with the airlines to resume the flight schedule as soon as possible but ongoing knock-on delays to flights may be experienced over the weekend.

We apologise to passengers for the flight disruption experienced. We appreciate it is frustrating to have Christmas travel plans impacted.

Passengers travelling this weekend are advised to contact their airline for the latest flight information.
