Hello!
Mikan (Satsuma mandarins) is a typical winter fruit in Japan.
Mikan's moderate acidity and juicy sweet taste are irresistible! Rich in nutrients like vitamin C, which boost the body's immune system, and citric acid for losing weight, relief of constipation and recovery from fatigue, this fruit is especially recommended during the cold season when we easily lose our stamina. One of the best ways to enjoy mikan is sitting around a kotatsu, a Japanese table with a built-in heater!
If you are planning a trip to Japan this winter, have a mikan, which is right in season.

Hello!
The hot pot season has returned.🍲
As it gets colder with each passing day, we crave something warm to eat. Hot pot with "anglerfish," which is coming into season, is the perfect winter dish. You may not be familiar with anglerfish, but this fish is an ideal diet food! As a good source of protein and collagen, and because it is low in calories, this fish is especially popular with women.
Adding anglerfish liver to the hot pot brings out a unique and rich flavor which, together with the firm meat of the fish, creates a divinely savory dish.
Try one of the best winter cuisines, hot pot, during your trip to Japan. It will warm your heart and your body!

Hello!
Prized for its delicious rice, Japan is also known for good sake.
Have you heard of a drink called amasake?
Amasake is a traditional Japanese beverage that is made from rice koji, an ingredient used for making sake. Although it has "sake" in its name, it hardly has any alcohol and can be enjoyed by anyone. Rich in vitamins B1, B2 and B6, folic acid and amino acid, it is very nutritious. Also good for the skin, it is referred to as a drinkable IV.
Some say drinking warm amasake prevents you from catching a cold. If you're traveling in Japan during the chilly season, we hope you warm up with a hot cup of amasake.

Hello.
With the leaves beautifully changing colors, autumn is the season that stimulates our appetite for food and travel!
Among the bounties of the season, gingko nuts are what comes to mind in the fall. As they are very seasonal, just one gingko nut added to a dish heightens the mood for fall. Delicious grilled or boiled, gingko nuts are also indispensable for mixed rice dishes and savory egg custard.
Gingko nuts are rich in carotene, vitamin C and potassium. We hope you give them a try this season.

Hello.
As the peak harvest season, fall is the perfect time for eating! Today, we'd like to introduce you to one of this season's treats: shishamo.
Shishamo, a type of smelt, is rich in vitamins A and B2, phosphorus and calcium, and can be enjoyed whole, usually deep-fried after being coated with flour or bread crumbs. There are many other ways to prepare this fish. It is also delicious marinated as it goes particularly well with vinegar and citrus.
Shishamo pairs well with sake. We highly recommend trying some on your autumn Tokyo trip.
Happy travels!

Hello.
Many people probably think of Japan as the seafood kingdom. Some may say their favorite is ikura.
Served gunkan ("battleship") style at sushi restaurants, ikura is actually a versatile ingredient as it goes well in various dishes.
The most simple way to eat it is to put it on top of warm rice. We also recommend serving it in salads or mixing it into pasta dishes. Ikura is known for preventing high blood pressure and other lifestyle-related diseases and also providing multiple beauty benefits. We hope you try some fresh ikura the next time you come to Japan.

Hello there.
You probably know Kit Kat as it is a famous candy bar.
Matcha-flavored Kit Kat is popular among tourists as a gift to bring back to their home country. Masuizumi Japan Sake Kit Kat was introduced last month. Improving upon the existing sake-flavored Kit Kat, this product uses Toyama's prestigious sake Masuizumi and takes on its crisp dry finish. Wrapped in the gentle sweetness of white chocolate, it has a sophisticated clean aftertaste and a distinct rich aroma.
This candy bar can be purchased at Haneda Airport. We highly recommend it as a souvenir from Japan.
