As our terminal undergoes reconfiguration works, we’re taking a construction zone and turning it into an art gallery that celebrates local artists and all things Maltese.

Our pick of the week from the temporary exhibition is Gilbert Vancell Nature Photography's The Milky Way over Filfla.

The islet and its unique, surrounding waters were put in the spotlight in a documentary funded by The Malta Airport Foundation, which can be viewed here http://bit.ly/2ce9UNB

Want to feel on top of the world or somewhere close? A visit to Burj Khalifa in Dubai might do the trick.

But there's definitely more to the city besides the world's tallest skyscraper - the Spice Souk and the Gold Souk can certainly add some colour and glimmer to your holiday!

Dubai is reachable via daily flights operated by Emirates from our airport.

Dates: 15th, 17th, 18th April
Time: 11.30 – 14.30
Place: MIA food court, Level -1

With the Easter holidays just round the corner, children (and parents) can look forward to the Easter Kids’ Club - three days packed with free, Easter-themed activities taking place at the airport food court.

Games, challenges, face and hand-painting sessions, and rides on our giant plush animals are all on our programme! No Easter activities are complete without figolli, so we asked our special guest the Easter Bunny to come round and distribute a couple of them!

On Easter Monday, there’ll be an egg hunt that kicks off at 13.00.

Remember that eating at the airport’s food court entitles you to free parking at the airport’s car park*. Most restaurants at the food court offer a kids’ menu, making this spot ideal for a tasty bite before or after the activities.

The Easter Kids’ Club looks forward to welcoming you at the airport for a whole lot of Easter fun! Please note that there will be no activities on Easter Sunday.

Albrecht Dürer has been with us for the past weeks, hopping from one delightful spot to the next with some help from the Little Knight.

His holiday's now come to an end, so we met up with him at our airport tunnel to say goodbye before he caught his Ryanair flight to Nuremberg.

He did tell us that he was fascinated by the Maltese islands, and we suspect he'll be visiting again soon!

Our pick of the day from the temporary exhibition is maltatype's Shopfronts of Valletta, L. Psaila. Our capital's streets are dotted with these quaint shopfronts, but this is perhaps one of the more eye-catching ones.

If you're travelling in the coming weeks, do get to the airport at least 2.5 hours before your scheduled departure time.

This is since works on our ongoing Terminal Reconfiguration Project may impact the check-in and security screening processes.

We thank you for your cooperation and ask you to direct any queries you may have to the airport team via email on info@maltairport.com.

Last week we welcomed Albrecht Dürer on a Ryanair flight from Nuremberg. He's been out and about with his guide enjoying Malta's loveliest spots, and found the view from #Valletta's Upper Barraka Gardens particularly stunning!

His guide, the Little Knight's also been telling him all about the Malta Airport Foundation's newest project, which involves the restoration of the Combined Operations Room within the underground war HQ in Valletta!

The wartime complex covers an area of 28,000 square metres and spreads right underneath the Upper Barrakka Gardens all the way to the St Peter and Paul Counterguard across Valletta’s main ditch.
