What an ending to day one of the #EdmontonAirshow!! What a spectacular show. #Snowbirds #yeg #aviation

Don Reynolds - Awesome show. Putting the Snowbirds first on Sunday was genius. Everyone got to see them, and this lessened the traffic leaving as people grew tired and started trickling out early, instead of the usual mob scene. Great job handling traffic. Loved the warbirds and military presence. Get more food trucks and the F18 flying next time and you will have a real winner. Great job by all the volunteers and organizers and performers.

Melinda Jones - This was a very poorly organized event, accessing from the highway in was a gong show, traffic was backed up from the Yellowhead to the Villeneuve traffic circle, the RCMP weren't letting enough of cars at a time go through. Once on the grounds food truck line ups were one and half to two hour wait, if they didn't run out of food by the time you were served. We never ended up getting to eat all day as we didn't come to stand in lines that long we came to watch planes. Food trucks are not the answer for this kind of event, you need big BBQ catered burger type set ups etc... The show was late and pretty sparse for planes, lags in between made, made for a rather boring event. Leaving was another gong show, people sitting an hour to move a car length in the field absolute complete lack of planning. Last year we attended the Air Show at Whitecourt, we experienced none of these problems, it was well organized. The Air Show was constant and spectacular, food was readily available and car parking and driving in and out was a breeze. We also attended a couple of years ago the Abbotsford Air Show which was also extremely well down, we had expected the Edmonton Air Show to fall somewhere in the middle, unfortunately we were very disappointed. I can't see wasting a day again attending the Edmonton Air Show🙁.
